Bold Blouses and Bright Skirts
I’m committed to my goal of brining in more color into my wardrobe and it’s paying off! See how I wore this blog favorite a second time with a different twist!
Hello Loves! Happy Friday to each and every one of you! As I’m writing this, it’s the early morning and I’m enjoying a nice cup of tea on our balcony before anyone is up and to get a nice quiet start to a, more than likely, busy day. I’ve really been working on trying to find ways to center myself before starting the day and just get organized and I think this might be it.
On today’s post, I’m sporting a bright yet conservative outfit perfect for any day of the week that requires clothes. Plus, it’s been super hot here (I’m not complaining!) and this look is sure to keep you cool between your commute.
Remember me! If you’re a consistent reader, you probably saw this post and if you’re anything like me, I fell in love with this top and couldn’t just wear it once. (I mean you shouldn’t be purchasing one time pieces but ya know…)
I told you all I wanted to start brining in more color into my wardrobe. I mean I had pieces that I would wear most of the time and most of them were blue. And I mean everything was blue. Examples, A, B, C, D. I mean the list goes on and on. But I’m sticking to my goals and definitely bringing more color in these past few months!
Now some might thin the top is a little too busy with all those colors in it but the best thing about that is that there are so many options to pair it with! I mean I went for pants last time and this time I’m wearing a skirt in a bright pink shade for some punch. I kept things simple with a nude pump (almost back to wearing heels fully!) but I could switch it up if I went with something more neutral on the bottom.
The rules to fashion all lay within the same idea of BALANCE. Have a flow top, go with a skinny/fitted bottom and vice versa. This shirt is so versatile especially since I can wear it in or out and because I can wear different colors. I could even switch it up with lilac and pick up that soft color as well. Or even a flirty yellow skirt could do the trick. In a super conservative office? Go for a slimming black pant. I mean the possibilities are endless with this one.
Don’t be afraid to bring in color into your wardrobe even if it’s bit by bit! I hear a food bowl being knocked over and mumbles about coffee now so I think the house is awake. Talk with you all soon!
