Black & White Combo – Parisian Chic

With Beyoncé always on the brain, I channeled a bit of her style (and Audrey Hepburn and Paris) in this cute work look combo featuring a black & white color scheme. Read more to see the full look as well as the cutest pair of shoes.

Hello Loves! We’re bringing you and easy to pull off look as well as giving you Parisian vibes. I have a huge obsession with cigarette pants and flats. There’s just something about how they look, feel and have me dancing like Beyoncé in Countdown.

Pair the pants with a turtleneck and I’m getting serious Parisian vibes with this look! I remember wearing turtlenecks when I was younger and I’ll admit, I wasn’t quite the fashion lover that I am now. Around 5, my head was fairly large and on a small body with a turtleneck on, it was a weird silhouette and shape. So at that point, turtlenecks weren’t really my friend. Now however, with body proportions evening out a little more, I’ve been piling them into my closet!

Both items are from TJ Maxx and well under $30 each! The turtleneck was something I picked up on a whim since I needed one for a family photo but I knew it would go well with a bunch of different pieces I had. You can’t go wrong with a white turtleneck especially in the chillier months.

The pants are something that I had been wanting to buy for a while since a lot of the other black pants I had were a bit more casual. This pair is a different material, closer to silk, and has a print! These would also look nice with a blouse, pumps and a blazer.

For my accessories, I stuck with the black and white theme and grabbed this cute mini box clutch from JustFab. It’s small enough to hold my cell, extra lipstick and an ID but that’s about it! It’s definitely one of my less functional pieces but in some cases you have to go for style instead!
Oh! Before I sign off, the shoes! This pair is from Macy’s and it’s the Sam Edelman Circus line and it’s just a cute and fun shoe! My boyfriend calls them Michael Jackson shoes but MJ was pretty darn stylish as far as I’m concerned. I really loved the leather, patent leather, and fur combo in this shoe and the fact that they’re flats! Flats get a lot of grief in the office but if you find a cute pair and wear them correctly, you can get by. Especially on a Friday!

  1. Turtlenecks are pretty great, hey and you look GORGEOUS in your’s :)

I love layering them under another sweater, blazer or coat. Looser fit Varsity style V-neck sweaters compliment a t’neck T-shirt or a lightweight ribbed t’neck top so well.
