We hope you all are having a great week so far! We’ve been a little light on posts lately, with the end of Q2 being CRAZY busy, but we’re back in action with a nice, versatile summer dress look.

In my opinion, a summer wardrobe should be full of pieces that are light, airy and comfortable. This pinstripe dress checks all the boxes AND it can be dressed up or down, depending on how you style it. For today’s look, you can wear this to a casual work outing or networking event. It’s simple yet chic and pinstripes are currently on trend so it looks bright and fresh!
Let my knack for shopping the sale racks be a testament to the fact that you don’t have to pay a lot of money for trendy pieces. I recently made a trip to H & M for summer tops because I knew they were having a sale. As I was browsing the racks my mom found this beauty for only $10! I’ve been on a winning streak with $10 dresses lately and I won’t complain! The dress is made of light cotton and features soft gray pinstripes. It also has a waist tie to add more shape.
I recommend this dress for those slightly more casual outings mainly because of the slits on the side. I didn’t notice them at first so I thought it’d be good for work. After seeing the side slits I wasn’t deterred because I know there are plenty of places I could wear this dress to outside the office. For this look I paired the dress with my brown Steve Madden sandals but if you’re going somewhere like a company picnic you can swap the sandals for gym shoes. Super easy to switch up the look!
I love the sophisticated feel that the pinstripes and collar give this dress. Adding anything pinstripe to your look makes it look well put together. Since the style and pattern are both simple it was easy to add a statement piece to make this look pop. H & M also had some awesome jewelry pieces on sale so I picked up this turquoise necklace and a few other gems. I’ve probably said this before but I highly recommend getting on the email list for your favorite stores. That’s the best way to find out about any sales and special offers they have.
When you find a dress like this you can’t let it pass you by. The pinstripe detail is subtle enough to make this a very versatile piece for the summer months. You have total create freedom with a piece like this and will definitely get plenty of wear out of it.
