Wide Leg Camel Pants and Five Nude Heels for Brown Girls
In most cases, “nude” means beige but for brown girls, it means either a brown, chocolate, or chestnut color. See how we styled OUR nude heels along with a neutral outfit for work.
Hello Loves! You know I’m a huge fan of bringing color into the office but sometimes a simple color combo is the way to go. Most recently, I’ve really been in love with blacks and browns and because of that, this look came to be.Mixing high and low styles, I started things off with this camel wide leg pant from New in neutral colors like this in your closet in order New York and Company which is a new favorite to wear to the office. It’s not only a beautiful color but the fit was perfect for making a subtle statement. Paired with black buttons on the pocket, this pair of pants has the ability to be worn with a shirt tucked in as well!
It’s important to stock statement piece in a neutral color like this for a simple way to give your outfit some flare. Of course you can wear a bold piece in a bright color but for many, offices require a more muted palette. So, in that case, opt for a dramatic piece in a color that pairs well with others.
For my top, I went the all time favorite, black! This top is rented from RTR and is a tunic style meaning it hits lower on the waist. I decided to pair it with a thick belt to add some shape since the pants are so large on the bottom. A belt is always an easy way to amp up your look if you feel like you’re missing something.
Lastly, I finished the look off with a vintage beret (a gift from my Grandmother) and a brown heel that’s perfect for my skin tone. Often times, I find myself looking for a “nude” heel but rarely find one in a shade for me. In most cases, “nude” means beige but for brown girls, it means either a brown, chocolate, or chestnut color. The idea of the nude heel is to create a streamlined look and give the appearance of longer legs when worn without pants but for brown girls those are hard to find. So when I found this pair from Steve Madden from another blogger, I jumped on the opportunity when it was on sale!
While there are only a few pair left in this style, here’s some of my other selections for affordable, brown girl approved, nude heels.
