As I’ve grown into my own personal style and progressed in my career I’ve learned how essential the perfect work bag is. Since I like to share the gems I pick up, I’m sharing some of my favorite work bags suitable for your needs.
1. The Classic Tote
Tote bags are the foundation for good work bags because they’re large and sturdy. This is a great style for easy access to all your necessities, big and small. Your makeup, wallet, laptop, change shoes, lunch, etc. will all fit in this bag without a problem.
2. Satchel
The satchel bag is the tote bag’s sophisticated cousin. These are a must-have work bag for me because they usually have more to offer in the organization department. Satchels typically have various pockets and compartments. This is ideal if you have smaller items to keep separate like a work ID, iPad, notebook, earbuds, and keys. Another bonus is that most satchels have a detachable strap that allows you to carry them as a crossbody or a shoulder bag.
3. Backpack
Backpacks are practical work bags because they help evenly distribute the weight of everything you carry. You can find modern, sleek, and fashion-forward options that suit your style.
4. Shoulder Bag
You may opt for a shoulder bag if you’re lucky enough to bring yourself and your belongings. This is a great work bag for the minimalist. Shoulder bags also transition easily from day to night for happy hour or dinner after work. This is another bag that features compartments for all your small, easy-to-lose items. The smaller size of this bag makes it easier for those commutes where the train or bus is packed and you need to keep your belongings close by.
