How to Wear: Metallic Loafers

Hello Loves! I have a confession to make… contrary to popular belief, I don’t wear heels every day. Now, I completely prefer to wear heels but sometimes, a girl’s feet need a break especially after walk to the train or bus. When I DO decide to step out in a pair of flats, I like to wear one of my favorite styles of comfort shoe, the loafer. You should know that my office has a very, very, casual dress code, and even in an outfit like this, I’m normally, what you might call, “over-dressed”. But, when I do abide by the casual rules, I like to sport my favorite metallic loafers.

This particular pair is from Just Fab and it almost resembles a sneaker which is the cool part of it. If your office allows sneakers, be sure the pair you choose isn’t just your every day weekend running pair. Choose a pair that’s unique, whether that’s a fun color or print or even some bold laces, and then wear them with a midi skirt or an ankle skinny. 

In this case, I’m sporting a pastel blue turtleneck and a double side split skirt from Asos. One of my favorite tricks to wearing bold trends in the office is to wear the trend, and then keep the rest of my outfit relatively simple. If you’re in a very conservative space, you wouldn’t want to wear all your favorite trends in one outfit. I always teeter the line of including my personal style and being appropriate in the workplace. It’s nice to have a good balance.
