Navy & Yellow – Preppy Color Combo

Hello Loves! I can’t believe this week is almost over and the countdown to my vacation is getting closer and closer! You can find out where I’m headed (and keep track as I’m on the move) on Instagram so be sure to follow us for updates! While I’m excited for vacation, I still have a few more days of work but recently I’ve been leaning toward more casual looks as fun fact, I can’t wear heels! I tore my ACL in January and have been restricted (mostly) to wear flat shoes day in and day out. It’s a pain (oh the irony)! But anyway, I brought back a favorite pair of mine that is bright, fun, and of course comfortable!

After taking a pretty big fall on the slopes in January, I’ve been restricted to flats. As I’m sure your know, heels are more my thing so this is a challenge from me but I’m making it!  Today I’m wearing a pair that’s perfectly matched to my bright yellow sweater from J. Crew.  The sweater is a perfect closet staple and it’s on sale! So stock up for Spring with some gorgeous pastels or keep things simple with black, navy, or white.

My flats closet consists of lace ups and mostly pointed toe options. But, when I saw this color I just had to pick them up! Plus, I love a good loafer and the bright color definitely was in line with the weather we’ve been having recently sitting at 65 degrees in February!

One of my favorite color combos is navy and yellow. It’s bright, fun, and gives off a bit of a preppy vibe. I paired the sweater with a Ralph Lauren striped oxford underneath and a pair of navy pants from The Limited.

The sweater is so cozy and it’s one of my favorite pieces but being the millennial that I am. I put it in the dryer and it shrunk so off to buy another one and not do that again. And that’s also why I look like a shot-put player.
What do you guys think of this look? Easy going is my thought!
