Grey Old Navy Blazer – Office Must Have
Say hello to the perfect winter blazer built for warmth and the office. Scored for under $40 this semi wool blazer from Old Navy is cozy and versatile as we hit the lower temps.
Hello loves! My Cyber Monday purchases are just getting their way into my wardrobe (code for I have too many clothes) but this grey blazer is a new favorite of mine and it was a must to share!
There’s just something about a blazer that polishes a look off in so many ways. In a sense, it basically turns any outfit into a suit so if you’re ever concerned that you might be just a tad underdressed. Put. On. A. Blazer.
This particular grey blazer is one I scored from Old Navy during Cyber Monday sales. It was under $30 (I think! But I know it’s for sure under $50) and I couldn’t resists. I had had my eye on this blazer for a while and as soon as it went on sale, I swooped in and picked it up.
I bought the medium size (which is a little big on me but nothing a little tailoring can’t handle) and other than that, I love it! The blazer almost looks white but has just the right amount of coloring to put it in the grey category. I have a darker grey blazer but this light one allows me to pair it with various colors without being too dark and heavy.
In this case, I couldn’t resist pairing it with one of my very favorite dresses. This one is from Target and as soon as I saw the collar, I knew it was something that I wanted to add to my wardrobe. I love how it gives the illusion of another shirt underneath the dress without having to wear two layers
I felt the dress was missing something and was just a bit too plain (and not warm enough!) for the winter. So I knew the grey blazer was the perfect choice. To make it a bit more fitting as well, I decided to roll up the sleeves. But that bit is completely up to you!
The key to work dresses is to always make sure they are the right length. In the office, especially for a conservative office, you should never go above the knee. If you do, try to wear a flatter shoe as heels elongate your legs and will only draw more attention to them.
Since this dress the right length, I went ahead and wore my Jeffrey Campbell’s (scored for under $30) that paired well with the tights and overall look. You can never go wrong with black!
