How to Transition from Summer to Fall Style Easily

We all know the favorite season for fashion is Fall! From the layers, rich colors, sleek boots, and more, I can’t get enough of it. We often talk about is making sure your wardrobe works across all seasons so now, as we transition from summer to fall, here are some favorite combinations to try!

Pleated Skirts

You can’t go wrong with a classic like this! Pleated skirts give off the ultimate ladylike vibe but you can definitely style it to fit your personality. These are a staple in my wardrobe and my favorite is this asymmetrical one from Vince a few seasons ago. In the summer, I pair it with a tank, lightweight blouse and a sandal of some kind. But when things cool off, I love bringing in a warm knit or slim turtleneck and boots.

Gilets/Blazer Vest

If you’ve been around for a while, you know that I absolutely love gilets/dusters/longline vests, whatever you want to call it! They’re a great alternative to a blazer in the warmer months but that doesn’t mean they can’t work for fall transition. For summer, I pair it with soft pastels or a monochromatic look with ivory culottes and a silk tank for some texture. In the Fall, I opt for longer sleeves and rich colors to contrast and warm up the look.

Culottes

You know I couldn’t leave out my all time favorite! Culottes came into style and for me they never left. I love the shape, the fit, the comfort, all of the above for fall transition style. So, this season I’m styling them with boots or flats (a white sneaker never hurt) and layering on a sleeveless turtleneck.

Which combination will you try?
