Valentine’s Day Style – Sweet Date Night

Hello Loves! Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and it’s the perfect time to show your SO a little extra love! The past few years, Tony and I normally make a special dinner at home (normally steak!) and just sit an talk and enjoy our time together. We normally don’t get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the day but since we’re engaged this time around, we’re going to switch things up and treat ourselves to dinner as an engaged couple. Since we’ll be out on the town, it’s the perfect time for us to get dressed up.

A few months ago, I grabbed this dress for a wedding and fell in love with it immediately! Asos is definitely one of my go to’s when it comes to dresses so when this one caught my eye, I knew it would be a great addition to my wardrobe! The vibrant colors and the sweet shoulder detail definitely make this a perfect outfit for a romantic night out with your boo! (or gals of course!)

At first I thought this dress might be too much between the stripes, sleeves, and the fluted bottom but I got so many compliments on it, all the insecurities just melted away! For Valentine’s Day, the classic red and pink colors are the perfect way to show your love for the holiday. It’s definitely cliche to wear the colors but it almost seems like tradition now so why not?

I’ve paired the dress with these gold shoes for a bit of sparkle but I’ve also worn them with nude sandals and I think a silver pump would be a good choice too! You can really wear it with any sleek shoe that you have on hand.

Lastly, the fit of this dress really made me fall in love with it right when I slipped it on! It hugged every curve of mine and in all the right places too! The only downside I could see is that it gathers just a bit in the belly if it rides up. My torso is on the shorter side so I think I just didn’t have enough body to make it lay flat but it still worked out fine.
