A Bold Turtleneck and Leopard Prints
ORANGE you loving it? Wearing this bright, bold turtleneck sweater and printed skirt for today’s casual work style look as we roll into the first days of Spring!
Hello Loves! So glad to be sharing this bright look featuring a bold turtleneck as we kick of Spring! I’ve been wearing a lot of darker colors it seems since the weather hasn’t quite broke yet. But, it’s officially the third day of Spring and I’ve somehow found myself wearing this bright orange turtleneck paired with a cute printed mini skirt.
If you’ve been an long time reader, you’ve seen this sweater earlier this year paired with a pair of maroon slacks. I knew there weren’t many options to pair the skirt with so as soon as I saw the orange, I knew the two would be a perfect match!
And I even combined it with a fun leopard print featuring the same colors! Now granted the skirt does have grey and black, but the true star is the orange and it’s working for me!
Now I normally don’t wear this color, especially so boldly, except for Halloween. But one of my #BlogGoals this year was to wear more colors aside from blues, greys, and the classic color combo, black and white. So here I am in all my glory wearing carrot orange!
And I even combined it with a fun leopard print featuring the same colors! Now granted the skirt does have grey and black, but the true star is the orange and it’s working for me!
As for the skirt, it’s a cute steal that I got from Nordstrom Rack (seriously one of my FAVORITE stores) for just around $6! It’s from the TopShop brand which has a lot of fun styles and prints. Some of their pieces are strictly for after hours or more casual settings but I knew this skirt was do-able for both!
Since it’s still a bit chilly outside, and fun fact this skirt is pretty short, I paired it with thick black tights to keep me warm and appropriate in the office. I opted to wear black lace flats for this look simply because I can’t wear heels consistently at the moment. (We’ll get into that later…) But, they work and they’re a closet staple!
Hope you loved the look! What are some of your fashion goals and risks you want to take this year? I’m particularly excited for Summer to continue wearing brights! Share your thoughts below!
