Fall is upon us and it’s time to break out those (faux) leather pieces. You’ve seen is style leather trousers for work, but this edgy fabric is no one trick pony. Leather dresses and skirts are a great addition to your wardrobe for the cooler months. They’re chic, warm, and a fun way to break up your typical workwear looks.

I snagged this faux leather pinafore dress from Zara’s summer sale for under $30! I couldn’t say no to the rich brown tone, pleated skirt and gold hardware. For this look, I went simple with a classic black turtleneck, tights, and boots. You could easily make this look more formal with a button down shirt and blazer, or pair it with a different top.

This is one of a few leather dresses and skirts I currently have in my wardrobe that I love to wear during this time of year. Leather isn’t your every day workwear fabric but depending on your office dress code, you can pull it off if you style it right.
