I hope you all have had a productive week and are ready for the weekend! Casual Friday is typically the first sign of a weekend on the horizon. Traditionally, casual Friday has been the opportunity for everyone in the office to take advantage of wearing jeans to work. Now, as much as I enjoy denim, there’s so many more options out there that read casual yet professional. I like taking pieces from my every day wardrobe and dressing them up a bit for work. Cue these bold wide leg pants!

These amazing tribal print wide leg pants were a boutique find from when I was in college. The wide leg trend had just started gaining traction at that time so I had to get my hands on a pair. Don’t underestimate local boutiques. You’re bound to find one of a kind pieces since the owners usually hand pick everything in stock. These pants are so comfortable! Perfect for chill Fridays at the office. The print is bold but the color scheme with the navy, orange and white make it palatable for work.

Wide leg pants are typically very long so I recommend wearing a heel of some sort. Heels will keep you from damaging the bottom of your pants and tripping all over them! I went for my faux suede sandals with these. The heel is high enough to lift the pants and chunky for added comfort.

Since these wide leg pants are flowy and casual in nature I paired them with a crisp white blouse to add a little structure. This blouse from H & M was part of a 2 for $20 deal and I will always go for deals on blouses like this. A structured button down is a work essential and they’re a lot more versatile than one may think. With the top being fitted, it also provides a good volume balance to ensure I don’t get lost wearing all big clothes.

This look is not only a great casual Friday alternative but it takes you right into happy hour! Sometimes wearing jeans can leave you feeling under-dressed at some of the more upscale bars. Wearing these wide leg pants with a nice blouse means you can make your way into any after work spot you want without feeling like you’re either too much or not enough.
