How to Wear White in the Winter – Monochromatic Winter White

Hello loves! If you’ve been following us for a while, you know were all about the monochromatic looks but what about white in the winter? You should know by now that it’s COMPLETELY OKAY to wear white AFTER Labor Day. Because honestly, we’re a long way away from it and I’m almost beginning to think we’re at the point where in fashion, there aren’t really “rules” anymore! So I’m making an executive order (I know, we’ve had enough this week for a while), and if you didn’t know, now you know… white after Labor Day is A-OK! And this winter white look is here to show you!

Today I’m wearing this winter white look to the office with the perfect pair of thigh high boots! The sweater was a score from TJMaxx and it’s perfect for not only work, but pairs well with jeans on the weekend too! 

I kept the texture trend going with pairing the sweater with a quilted skirt from Banana Republic. I was a little hesitant to mix these two patterns but since the sweater is bolder and the skirt is a little more subtle, it works. It’s always all about making sure you have the right mix. Too much of something = clashes, too little = boring.

In this case, white boots would have definitely been overdoing it (especially in the office) so I went for this awesome pair from ASOS with a little surprise in the back!

Over the Knee boots have been around for a while but I’ve really been into the chunky heel trend. This pair is comfortable, come pretty much up to my thigh, and has just that bit of interest that takes it to the next level.

Boom! See that heel there? It’s like a perspex heel but obviously with a pattern. I thought clear would be a little too bold for me but as you know, leopard is a neutral in my book so it was a fun way to add a pattern into this monochromatic look.
