Hello Loves! We hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to take on the week! Whether you’re starting off your work week or kicking off finals, we’re here to bring you some style inspiration! If you can’t tell, I love good black and white color combo. It’s such a simple pairing to put together and each piece is can be mixed and matched with each other. Sticking with that color scheme is a no brainer for me! In this particular outfit, after seeing Hamilton (courtesy of Mom), I was really feeling bold sleeves, ruffles and bows. Hence this little number being formed.
The top is a style deal (and steal!) from The Limited sale for around $20. I mostly fell in love with the sleeves and their full shape before noticing any of the other sweet details. We all know that bell sleeves are in but I loved how these were bell, then tapered. Sometimes, trends can get in the way at work so just be mindful of how they might operate in your day to day.
The top is a crisp white color and also includes a cute bow and tassel detail. Bow blouses are a favorite of mine because they are so elegant and style well with so many pieces in my closet. I remember growing up, my mother bought me one and I absolutely hated it. But, I kept it on hand and once I graduated college, it became a go-to piece for work!
Note to Self – Mother knows best!
My pants on the other hand was a deal from TJ Maxx and you’ve seen me wear them before here. I love the subtle leopard print detail of the pant. It adds a bit of texture and pattern without being too bold for a more conservative space.
While I chose to keep it simple with a black pump, I would totally rock red or even a jewel tone would look great as well! It’s completely up to you once you have the foundation of the outfit down to add in your own personality and colors that you prefer.
What do you think of the look? Are these black ankle pants office approved?
