The Summer Trouser You Need Right Now!

During the Summer, it can be easy to let your wardrobe start to slide and take on a more casual appearance. For some, like those with a casual dress code, it’s doable. But what about those who lean more toward the professional look? Well, I have basically the only summer pant that you need!

When I was younger, my Mom would always purchase me clothes from Ann Taylor. And by younger, I mean like 13 so AT has been a household, name for nearly 15 years! Once I entered the work force, started the blog, and realized this weird passion I have for office wear, I knew AT was always going to be a go-to of mine. From chinos to blouses and dresses, I never thought I could love an item as much as I love their Wide Leg Marina Pant!

I initially had this post titled “The Summer to Winter Trouser You Need”, but ain’t nobody coming to see you Winter. Honestly though, it’s truly a year round pant! I officially own 3 pairs now (Black, Olive, and Denim) and the compliments are through the roof every time I sport them. It can be hard to find an item that is comfortable, work appropriate, and doesn’t have you boiling in the summer heat by 2 PM. The fit is loose yet tailored and since they come in multiple colors, you can do what I did and get as many as your heart desires to satisfy your needs.

Normally around $90, I hold out for a sale and snag them for around $45. But either way, this pant is one of the best pieces I’ve spent money on. Honestly, and this post isn’t sponsored, I just really like these pants! One thing we talk about a lot on CCC is that you have to craft your wardrobe not only in a way that makes sense for you but in a way that it WORKS for you. Closet staples like these should be a no brainer because of their versatility. I’ve sported them not only with flats, but also, sneakers, boots, strappy sandals, mules, and pumps. Also, I’ve worn them with tanks, blouses, blazers, and of course a cozy sweater in the cooler seasons. These pants are versatility at it’s finest.

This is what we mean when your wardrobe should work for you. You wouldn’t want to invest in an item that you can only wear every now and then, right? Like many of us, you’re on a budget so your wardrobe has to work for itself and you need to get your monies worth. Investing in pieces like this is the key to building a functional wardrobe.
