Jumpsuits are a versatile piece for your wardrobe that are both stylish and comfortable. If you’ve ever been hesitant about wearing a jumpsuit to work, I’ve got some styling tips for you to put your mind at rest. Styling a jumpsuit for work can be a walk in the park. Read more for details.

Hello Lovelies!

I’m always looking for new ways to enhance my professional wardrobe and push the envelope when appropriate. One way to do that is finding fashion forward pieces that are toned down enough for work. Over the last few years jumpsuits and rompers have a slight obsessions for me. I love both pieces because they’re easy to style and usually very comfortable. Jumpsuits are timeless pieces that will get a ton of wear throughout the seasons. A good jumpsuit will add so much value to both your every day and professional wardrobes.

Cue this adorable navy floral jumpsuit I found on sale at LOFT. I love the floral print and the fact that it’s navy means it can be carried into other seasons easily. If you’re going to wear a jumpsuit to work you want to make sure it’s not too fitted. If your jumpsuit fits tight around the legs and/or butt area you look more like you’re going to a party than the office. Modesty is key. LOFT is a great place to workwear because their cut and styles are more mature and tailored.  Nine times out of 10 you will find work appropriate clothing in LOFT as opposed to a Forever21. You can find some good pieces in Forever, you just have to be more aware of cuts, hemlines and fit.

This is a sleeveless jumpsuit so if bare arms are against dress code you can throw on a blazer and hike up the professional look. The neckline is an adjustable V-neck, which I love for taking this jumpsuit from day to night. There’s a small snap on the inside to close the neckline up a bit for a more conservative look. If you’re wearing this jumpsuit out you can unsnap it and the neckline dips a bit lower. Talk about versatility! This jumpsuit also has a drawstring waist which, to me, is the epitome of comfort. Too often I’ve purchased pieces that are too structured in the waist that don’t allow me to breathe if I’ve had a full lunch or if I’m bloated. A drawstring waist allows you to adjust the fit to your desired comfort level.

As I previously mentioned, LOFT has some pretty amazing sales. This jumpsuit was marked down to $80 and they had an additional 40% off sale so I paid just under $50 for this piece. They’re having a 4th of July promo with an extra 50% off sale now so you can save even more on this piece than I did! As you can see, the jumpsuit features a straight leg so you have some room to breathe and move in it.

Y’all know my Steve Madden sandals are bae so I paired them with my jumpsuit. I chose a neutral because of the colorful print. An understated shoe works well with pieces that are more bold like this for work.

Pockets make everything better! I was so excited when I realized this jumpsuit had pockets, just another bonus feature that’s also functional. I got some really great jewelry on sale at H & M, this stone necklace and my white tassel earrings were each $3! You can’t pass up a deal that good. Plus, I like to go bold with my accessories every now and then so when I see pieces on sale I’m always willing to build on my collection.
